Hot Dog Girl

Cute, summer read... The main character was a little irritating with her scheming though, but the character was self-aware...

The Cat Sitter's Pajamas
by Blaize Clement

This book had, at times, the feel of a cozy mystery but had some really bad violent characters as well, making for an interesting mix. In essence, you never know what’s around the next corner, or page in this case. Throw in the curiosity and eccentricity of cats, and you have an interesting story. The story begins with a couple away on vacation and the cat sitter walks in to find a murder. But some people turn out not be who they appear to be as the plot thickens.

This was a cute book featuring puppy Clifford, Emily and friends. My boys enjoyed discovering the beach along with Clifford and identified with Cliffords feeling through out.

Listened to this for extreme reading challenge for the satirical category. Was kind of fun, but quite bizarre. Had a bit of trouble keeping up with the story line at times. Great narrator! One of my favorite actors. Maybe, not quite my cup of tea, so to speak.

I Survived The American Revolution 1776 by Lauren Tarshis was an amazing book. I loved it. It was filled with excitement. I learned about the American Revolution and the weapons the Patriots and the British used to fight. The story painted a picture in my mind of what it was like during the American Revolution of 1776.
