This book was okay. The writing in it wasn’t great, but the story was entertaining.

The Boy from the Woods
by Harlan Coban

The beauty of this book is that although the story is engaging, the characters are so well developed, that I found them to be the best part of the book. While the book is titled The Boy from the Woods, it’s not really about him, but about how things unfold around him. It’s more about the terrible tying times of high school and adolescence and what happens when those who go unpunished for their crimes as a youth grow up to be an adult and view themselves above it all. This is a great book.

The Cat Sitter's Pajamas
by Blaize Clement

This book had, at times, the feel of a cozy mystery but had some really bad violent characters as well, making for an interesting mix. In essence, you never know what’s around the next corner, or page in this case. Throw in the curiosity and eccentricity of cats, and you have an interesting story. The story begins with a couple away on vacation and the cat sitter walks in to find a murder. But some people turn out not be who they appear to be as the plot thickens.

Weird But True Books
by National Geographic Kids

The book is about weird facts that are actually true. My favorite part was about the facts back in the day and centurys. Also why I like this is because I learn new facts I didnt know and it gives you some knowledge to sometimes. Like you learn about the past in school and you learn about past in weird but true.

Crooked River

An outstanding book by a pair of my favorite authors, both together and separately. Something very wrong is washing up on the beach; you won't believe what it is and even worse where it is coming from. For those familiar with the Pendergast series, this book showcases his sometimes partner and his ward. But in this book, Pendergast puts some innocent people in harm’s way and harm does come to them. I am looking forward to the next book to see how he deals with this.
